About Us

Hi. I´m Kirk the founder and Director of Preston Language school. I first came to Salamanca in 1990 and enjoyed it so much that I returned many times to live and teach. Eventually I went back to the US to get a Masters in Linguistics with TESOL Certification from George Mason University in Virginia. After that I resumed teaching in several Spanish cities (and in other countries). 4 years ago I decided to settle back in Salamanca and establish a Language school. I recieved my visa this fall and opened the school in February.

As an American who has lived in Salamanca for several years and learned the language, I understand Spanish culture from a non-Spanish perspective including the joys and frustrations people experience as they interact with a new culture and language. I have done it too, which helps me assist you in providing as pleasant and satisfying an experience as possible while staying in Salamanca and Spain.
